Ethiopian Cross #1
European missionaries brought Christianity to many parts of Africa, but Ethiopia was an exception. Christianity thrived in the country as early as the first century and for most of the country's history since, the state religion has been Orthodox Christianity.
Ethiopian crosses have a distinctive African appearance. Different designs emerged specific to the regions they originated from. This design is similar to those found in the northeastern Wollo region.
